First published in 1974 by MTL, Brussels, this second edition of Sol Lewitt’s was published in 1977 by The John Weber Gallery, New York.
‘Squares with sides and corners torn off’ is devided into two sets of black squares : first “with sides torn off”, second with “corners torn off”.
Both are introduced by a graphic thumbnail of following reproduced works,  pages revisit these predetermined rips and tears as standalone silhouetted compositions.
