Rare first edition of Sol Lewitt’s iconic series of "found" grids in 414 color photographs taken by the artist with a Rollei 110 camera and arranged in nine-by-nine grids on forty-six pages.
Grids are part of the conceptual principle behind the work of Sol Lewitt (1928–2007), which takes various forms. Using a simple, often geometric shape as a starting point, the artist explores the implementation of a single concept and the number of variations it allows.
