This book sheds new light on Man Ray and his work. It presents both well-known images and others that remained hidden in his studio. All are the result of a meticulous selection process that juxtaposes photographs that sometimes seem to have nothing in common.
The photographs from private collections reveal the importance of the photographer's research into the relationship between objects and human beings and his various experiments, such as rayograms, inversions and solarisations on a variety of subjects, including portraits of his friends and companions.
This second-hand publication bears small traces of its previous life.
