Delicately bound with a seam, this small format reproduces the lecture given by Luciano Fabro at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts on 31 May 2000.

Although artists are very different from one another... they have different habits and different tastes, different characters and make different choices... there is something that unites them: their place in the body of art. And this is clear to see. Being an artist is a complex activity, let's say, with many functions. To explain ourselves better, let us imagine art as a body to which, as a whole, all artists give shape, give shape as a part, as an organ, as a member, as a limb... a body with different parts that coordinate and harmonise. The head looks different and does different things from the legs, but they do not conflict with each other. Let us try to describe it.
