films:dialogues is an experimental analytical approach that manifests in the form of the zine. Through strategies such as intervention, appropriation and montage, the publication brings different films into a dialogical relationship. The first issue, 66 bound to the club of the living end 66, examines sexuality, violence, and masculinity as unstable categories of cinematic representation.  Films such as Taxi Driver (Scorsese, 1976) and Fight Club (Fincher, 1999)—both canonical within the cinematic “manosphere”—as well as Buffalo 66 (Gallo, 1998), a heterosexual fever dream, are confronted with works from queer cinema, both marginal and canonical, that engage with similar thematic concerns.
